Mr. Chatchawi Vatanasuk, Chief Executive Officer, T.A.C. Consumer Public Company Limited (T.A.C.C.) revealed that the company has obtained the license to be the agent managing the license and marketing of Bellygom in Thailand, a famous pink bear character from Korea by a company in the Lotte group, "Bellygom" is a pink bear that has been famous on YouTube since 2018 with more than 200 million views and more than 1.4 million followers on various social media platforms. The main content involves Bellygom’s prankish and playful habits that make people smile and laugh.
“Bellygom is the first character that T.A.C.C. has worked with from Korea. Bellygom’s outstanding feature is the concept of a cute, bright, mischievous, and playful pink bear aimed at generating happiness and smiles. To date, the developer, a company in the Lotte group, promoted and organized many activities with events including Bellygom products launched on a continual basis and attracting interest from lots of male and female customers in the 18-35-year-old age group,” says Mr. Chachawi. As the Korean character market is currently trending and popular internationally due to Korean culture and popular trends such as Korean artists, K-Pop, and various series in the “Korean Wave”, the Korean character industry has grown significantly and is attracting attention in the global market.
The company is ready to launch the new Bellygom character at the Bellygom Loves Thailand, Sustainable Living X'mas Tree 2023 event. The first major event in Thailand will be held from 17 November 2023 to 14 January 2024 at Siam Discovery, which is made of recycled HDPE plastic and opaque plastic bottles that will be decorated with Bellygom characters, displayed at the event and available for purchase at the Loft on the 2nd floor of Siam Discovery to promote Bellygom to be better known in Thailand. Initially, T.A.C.C. has a license management contract for "Bellygom" in Thailand for a period of 4 years. From now on, we will continue to build Bellygom to be known to more people in Thailand. Since Bellygom has been such great success in Korea, we expect this cute and outstanding character will continue to generate good character business revenue for TACC and serve as the foundation for generating sales for the year.
