TAC Consumer PCL met with investors at the Opportunity Day activity to report on performance for 2016 on 24 February 2017 in Room 603, Building B, Stock Exchange of Thailand, with Mr. Chanit Suwanparin, Managing Director, and Ms. Chirapan Khotcharit, Deputy Managing Director.
For performance in 2016, the company’s income from sales was 1,177.02 million baht, an increase by 17.18 percent from the previous year, while income from sales was 1,004.44 million baht. The primary reasons are as follows:
1) Domestic sales increased by 15.39 percent from the previous year due to the launching of new products in the market and market growth such as in cold drink dispensers, non-coffee beverages in All Café corners, hot beverage vending machines, and a new product launching of the original flavor Japanese-style donuts under the brand name “A Smile”, and sales of products by the use of character cartoons with Sanrio Wave Hong Kong Co., Ltd., which became available in 7-Elevens in September 2016. 2) Foreign sales increased by 38.66 percent as a result of the company’s change in sales strategies for distributors in the Cambodian market at the end of the second quarter of 2015.
The company completed these changes in August 2015.
In 2016, the company’s net profit was 101.83 million baht or a profit rate of 8.60 percent, an increase of 33.88 million baht or 49.86 percent when compared to the previous year in which net profit was 67.95 percent or a net profit rate of 6.75 percent. This was primarily due to (a) continuous increase in the company’s gross profit and (b) the company’s control of expenses within rate limits and budgets.
Operating Plan for 2017
The company expects income to increase by 10-15 percent or more in 2017 relative to the previous year in business-to-business products (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) products. Income is expected to grow in existing products and new product releases by the company.
